Sally’s new gardener, Raffety Blake, has demonstrated how well he understands and satisfies her needs over and above those required in her garden. He’s due again today. Will her desires be fulfilled again this week?

By the following Thursday Sally had cleared her diary of any previously booked activity. Thursdays would be “play day” for the foreseeable future. By Tuesday the promise of sexual satisfaction in two day’s time began to build a quiver of excitement that raced up the back of her neck every time she thought about Blake’s next visit. On Wednesday the butterfly dance began in her stomach. She could barely sleep on Wednesday night, her mind reliving last Thursday and the pleasure of her climax. If anticipation had a voice it would’ve been yodelling by the time his car, or rather Louise’s husband Henry’s car, drove in.

She had to restrain herself from racing out to greet him. Stop acting like a school girl, even if you feel like one. Remember your maturity. Act like the lady you are. She chastised herself, regaining control and standing, artfully draped in the doorway, waiting for him to climb the veranda steps. Instead he waved to her as he opened the trunk and hauled various tools and bundles, laying them on the ground.

“Do you have a wheelbarrow?” It took a moment for his question to register in her mind, presently consumed with sexual fantasies and the desire to race down the steps and run her fingers through his thick glossy hair.

“Wheelbarrow? Yes.” She gave up her artful pose and hurried down the steps. “It’s down the garden, propped against the back wall of the garden shed. Shall I get it?”

“If you wouldn’t mind, I have a few things here I need to move to the back lawn.”

She walked away from him, hoping he noticed her tight fitting shorts and diaphanous silk blouse which she’d knotted under her breasts. Her expensive sandals were not designed for walking through grass and she wished she’d worn a more sensible pair when the small heels sank into the sod, throwing her off balance. Thank heavens she could hang on to the wheelbarrow on the way back. Once beside the car she slipped the silly sandals off and stood in bare feet, watching as Raffety loaded a long canvas bag, poles and pegs into the barrow.

“I noted you had some garden tools in the shed Mrs. Petley...Sally...but I’m sure you didn’t have a tent in there as well. Did you? I could have rung and asked but it would have spoiled my surprise.”

His deep brown eyes appealed for forgiveness and she wanted to stop him speaking by covering his lips with hers and stroke his chest. To do this she’d need to lift his shirt, or rip it off. As her shoes dangled from one of her hands and he’d only just arrived she thought this might be a bit premature.
